Blade Humbucker For Emmons GS10 / Student Model

This blade humbucker is a custom design built to fit the very low profile design and the available height for the pickup on these steels.

The original single coil on these steels can tend to be noisy due to the low profile and therefore the fatness of the coil shape. This humbucker will provide silent operation similar to other dual coil humbuckers to address this issue. The voicing of this model is medium bright, similar to the original single coil.

The total height of this pickup is 0.563 or 9/16 inch inch. The pickup mounts with 4 screws from below in the pickguard similar to the mounting scheme for the original, with the caveat that there were several mounting patterns for these steels, the 4 bolt pattern used here matches one of the originals used. If your steel has a diagonal 2 hole mount, new holes will need to be drilled in the pickguard, a template can be provided to facilitate this.
