Early Fender 400 Humbucker

This blade humbucker is a custom design built to fit the very low profile design and the available height for the pickup on the early Fender 400 with larger Jazzmaster style pickup. Note this pickup will not fit the later Fender 400s with the smaller pickup that is similar to a Fender Jaguar pickup.

The original single coil on these steels can tend to be noisy due to the low profile and therefore the fatness of the coil shape. This humbucker will provide silent operation similar to other dual coil humbuckers to address this issue. The voicing of this model is medium bright, similar to the original single coil.

The pickup mounts with 4 screws in the identical mounting scheme as the original, and is the same size as original single coil.
